Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Mathematik - Angewandte Mathematik, Note: 1,0, Universität Kassel, 12 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Über die Bogenform der Brücke Ponte Santa Trinità, welche in der italienischen Stadt Florenz erbaut wurde, gibt es schon seit Jahrhunderten viele verschiedene Meinungen und Ansichten. Als sie im Jahr 1944, bei dem Rückzug der deutschen Truppen aus Florenz, komplett zerstört wurde und zirka vierzehn Jahre später wieder aufgebaut wurde, entschied man sich dafür, dass die frühere Form der Bögen einer Kettenlinie geähnelt haben müsste. Hierbei gab es zwar unterschiedliche Meinungen zu der früheren Bogenform, es setzte sich jedoch Ricardo Gizdulich bei der Rekonstruktion der Brücke mit einer Kette als Hilfsmittel durch. Zu der heutigen Zeit können zwar nur noch Spekulationen aufgestellt werden, wie die frühere Form der Bögen hätte gewesen sein können, jedoch mit Hilfe von heutiger Computersoftware kann ein realitätsnäherer Vergleich zwischen der möglichen früheren Form und der heutigen Form der Brücke durchgeführt werden. In dieser Arbeit werde ich daher auf die mögliche frühere Bogenform der Brücke als eine Kettenlinie und als ein sechsfacher Korbbogen genauer eingehen.
